David F. Bacon is a partner with the law firm of Roth & Bacon Attorneys, LLC, concentrating in estate, probate, trust, business association planning, taxation and related areas. Mr. Bacon is an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in the areas of Estate, Trust and Probate Planning. Mr. Bacon graduated from Denison University as an undergraduate in 1974 and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Capital University and has been practicing law in Ohio since 1977.
Mr. Bacon is a member of Wealth Counsel which is a national organization of estate planning attorneys sharing useful information and taxation and business strategies in the estate planning field. Mr. Bacon has written an estate and business planning newspaper column for the Daily Chief Union newspaper for many years and lectures to many groups on related areas and techniques in estate and business planning. As a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Mr. Bacon was a contributing author to two books on Estate Planning; LEGACY, Plan Protect and Preserve Your Estate, and GENERATIONS, Planning Your Legacy.
Mr. Bacon served as an eleven year member and then President of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio State University, Marion Campus and served as a ten year member and President of The Board of Trustees of the Palace Theater in Marion, Ohio. Mr. Bacon is a Director of the First National Bank of Sycamore, Ohio. He is an Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and Choir Director for the First Presbyterian Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Mr. Bacon was recently admitted to the practice of law in Florida in addition to his Ohio license.
Mr. Bacon is married and has four grown children and lives in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. His firm has offices in Upper Sandusky, Marion and Port Clinton, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida.
